The Military Transformations Program at RSIS aims to develop scholarly and policy-relevant expertise on the theory and practice of defense and military innovation.

The program's research is focused on three broad areas: (1) Transformation of doctrine, and operational planning and strategy (2) Transformation of defence economics,and industrialisation; and (3) National approaches to military innovation, including military modernisation activities in the Asia Pacific.
